How it works
Everything converts through annual hours: hours per week times paid weeks per year. A 40-hour week over 52 weeks is 2,080 hours, which is the divisor most US salary figures assume.
Watch the paid-weeks field when comparing offers. A contract rate quoted hourly usually excludes holiday and sick leave; a salary usually includes them. At 40 hours, four weeks of unpaid leave is a 7.7% pay cut that no headline rate shows.
