Tililt

Tile & Flooring Calculator

Tiles, boxes and adhesive for a floor or wall.

How it works

Tile count is area divided by tile area, plus waste. The waste allowance is not padding — it is cuts. Every tile meeting a wall gets cut, and the offcut is usually unusable.

Ten per cent covers a straight layout in a simple rectangle. Diagonal work wants fifteen, herringbone twenty, and any room with alcoves or an awkward angle wants more than you think.

Buy the whole job in one batch and keep the spares. Tile shade varies between production runs, and a cracked tile in three years is unreplaceable without them.
